Working with talent & teams

The idea is the start.
I carry it through.

Talent has a point of view. Creative, production and commerce each have a part to play. I bring them into one plan and stay with the work from product decisions through customer delivery.

Talk about an operating role

Decisions I’ve owned.

Four examples of what that responsibility looks like in practice.

Will Smith / Good Goods & Westbrook

Find the idea.
Make it possible.

I pitched Will on playing amateur sneaker reviewer @Philasneakerguy68 for the Jordan x Fresh Prince reveal. On a separate apparel launch, he wasn’t available to film. I arranged a stand-in to demonstrate the color-changing tees, with Will’s recorded audio over the footage.

I coordinated his product priorities with Westbrook’s social calendar and production team, including getting samples ready for the shoot.

Know what to make next.
Stay through the handoff.

I reviewed sales patterns to recommend women’s styles and restocks, then coordinated assortments, launch assets, production and fulfillment.

For CQ5 at the Apollo in 2025, I traced a missing size run to its shipping box and reconciled the venue stock before the show. I followed through on returns and settlement.

Build around the person.
Own the operation.

For my own brand, I connect athlete-specific product ideas to representative approvals, Shopify, campaign direction, production and customer delivery.

Turn feedback
into a range that’s ready.

I brought prior-tour sales into the product discussion, consolidated artist feedback and gave the design team specific revisions. I compared production costs and margins before presenting the range for approval.

Once approved, I coordinated production and venue planning, followed by an inventory and settlement recap.

One plan.
Clear responsibility.

In an embedded role, I work alongside the talent or founder and their existing team. We agree what I own, what needs approval and who is responsible for the next step.

Discuss the role your team needs
  1. Set the direction

Define the audience, product idea and priorities. Put the open decisions in front of the right people.

  2. Make the work actionable

Turn the idea into a brief, assortment, cost plan and schedule. Coordinate samples and approvals.

  3. Connect the launch to delivery

Align content, the storefront and customer communications with production and fulfillment.

  4. Use what happened

Review sales, customer feedback and inventory. Resolve loose ends and shape the next release.
